I have recently been trying to reduce the amount of processed foods my kids are eating. (Yes, I have been watching Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution.)
My friend Michele sent me a link to a recipe on another blog. And it has since become my best and most favoritest recipe. I’m also enjoying the blog (if you look closely at my sidebar… yes over there… there’s a button link to the blog – Good (&Cheap) Eats).
Here’s a link to the actual recipe – Whole Grain Cinnamon Rolls.
I love these things. They aren’t low calorie, but at least they are homemade and they have some whole grains in them. My kids are actually liking them as well and they seem to accept them as a substitute for their normal cinnamon-rolls-from-a-can. (I know, I’m ashamed.)
So try them – I know you’ll like ’em!
P.S. – I am struggling with packing lunches for my kids. Cutting back on the processed food for snacks/lunches is proving to be difficult – finding things they like and things that are quick & easy. If you have any ideas for me, please let me know. Thanks!
